About The Position
The Extrusion Production Technician I helps ensure the extrusion line runs efficiently and produces high-quality products. The role contributes to continuous improvement efforts focused on monthly production metrics, safety, quality, sustainability, and production costs. The technician assists senior extrusion operators with machine setup, production, and development runs; troubleshoots and maintains extrusion equipment; and follows manufacturing, documentation, safety, and quality procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years of experience in manufacturing, machine operations, or a cleanroom environment.
- Ability to solve mathematical equations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across units of measure.
- Effective communication and collaboration with coworkers and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to read, interpret, and use complex drawings, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Proficiency operating hand tools or power equipment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior extrusion operators with machine setup, production, and development runs to meet product specifications.
- Troubleshoot and perform general maintenance on extrusion equipment, including inspections and safety checks.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) when completing daily tasks.
- Use production travelers and other documentation to verify raw material accuracy before manufacturing runs.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and complete quality documentation correctly.
- Assist with final product inspections and ensure senior extrusion operators complete operational reviews in a timely manner.
