About The Position

The Extrusion Operator is responsible for efficiently operating an extrusion machine for yarn production. This role involves maintaining the extrusion line, handling breakouts, packing out yarn, and working collaboratively to ensure safe and efficient production. The operator will also learn to clean and inspect spinnerets and maintain a clean work area.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
• Must be able to use scissors, a wrap stick, wrenches, and other hand tools.
• Must be able to distinguish colors and shades.
• All accidents must be reported immediately.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous Extrusion experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Regularly maintain extrusion line doffs.
• String up positions when breakouts occur as efficient as possible.
• Effectively pack-out yarn with correct labeling and preparation.
• Work with a partner to ensure safe and efficient production.
• Learn to clean and inspect spinnerets.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
