About The Position

Marmon Aerospace & Defense LLC is hiring Extrusion Operators for its Manchester, New Hampshire manufacturing facility. The role involves operating and monitoring production machinery, preparing machines for production, adjusting machine settings, inspecting output, resolving operational issues, and maintaining production records. The company offers second-shift hours of Monday through Friday, 4:00 p.m. to midnight, with a 4% shift differential, or third-shift hours of Monday through Friday, midnight to 8:00 a.m., with a 6% shift differential. Previous wire or plastics extrusion, or wire and cable experience, is highly preferred. Following a conditional offer, candidates must complete additional job-related screening as permitted or required by applicable law.

Requirements

At least 1 year of extrusion experience.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools, such as calipers and micrometers.
Understanding of production procedures.
Adherence to health and safety regulations, including constant use of protective gear.
Analytical skills and attention to detail.
Teamwork and communication skills.
Physical stamina and strength, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Proficiency in English, including verbal and written communication and comprehension.

Previous wire or plastics extrusion experience.
Previous wire and cable experience.

Responsibilities

Set up machines, including calibration and cleaning, to start production cycles.
Control and adjust machine settings, such as speed.
Feed raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines.
Inspect parts using precision and measuring tools.
Periodically test machine operation.
Fix issues that occur during the shift.
Check output for machine-related mistakes or flaws.
Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
Maintain activity logs.
