About The Position

Erie Foods, an Actus Nutrition Company, is seeking an Extrusion Operator to join its team in Rochelle, Illinois. The role sets up and operates extruders and related upstream and downstream operations, including automated bagging equipment, while supporting efficient, productive manufacturing and assuring the quality of powder or crisp products. The shift is 11:00 p.m. to 7:20 a.m. Pay is $20.75 per hour, with a $0.75 night-shift differential. Responsibilities

Start up, operate, troubleshoot, shut down, and clean the extruder machine.
Start up, operate, troubleshoot, shut down, and clean automated bagging lines.
Coordinate production runs with the production supervisor to complete orders on time.
Communicate with the relieving operator and the operator running the automated bagging lines about equipment and production status.
Coordinate with the blender to ensure materials are prepared for the current order, and blend materials when required.
Monitor and record production line set points and critical control points.
Monitor product quality attributes, including particle size distribution, moisture content, pH, sediments, bulk density, and shape, and adjust processing to correct deviations.
Communicate issues to the Utility or Production Supervisor overseeing the shift.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow personal hygiene and GMP requirements.
Follow safety policies and procedures.
