This specific role is for an Extrusion Operator in the Colorite Division at their Sparks, NV plant, focusing on the 3rd shift (11:50 pm - 8:00 am). The position offers a $1,500 sign-on bonus, starting pay of $25 per hour plus shift differential, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform all employee tasks and other duties as required and assigned.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Regularly required to hear and talk.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds or more with help from others or a mechanical lifting device.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Producing and/or packaging quality products on a production line to customer specifications.
  • Maintaining the production line.
  • Trouble-shooting line issues.
  • Setting up the production line.
  • Performing screen changes.
  • Being prepared for line change-overs.
  • Assigning lot numbers.
  • Following all safety rules and procedures.
  • Working closely with local management and production employees to achieve the “My Goal is Zero Accidents” objective.
  • Operating all equipment on the production line, including changes and set-up.
  • Checking work orders/specification sheets for specific work instructions.
  • Performing hourly quality checks and double checks for accuracy.
  • Accurately completing all required paperwork.
  • Collecting retains during hourly quality checks for Quality Control inspection.
  • Inspecting work for accuracy, completeness, and professional look.
  • Responsible for clean out of the blenders in accordance with instructions.
  • Performing random quality checks every 5 to 10 minutes to ensure product specifications.
  • Ensuring correct material, packaging supplies, and quality control tools are being used.
  • Scanning product and material into LN.
  • Limiting scrap and waste of material.
  • Performing all aspects of changing a line over to another part/style number.
  • Providing training or help to other employees when needed.
