This role is responsible for the set-up and operation of XP and UPP extrusion lines, which are multi-layer, multi-extruder nylon pipe systems. The operator will also perform other extrusion-related duties as needed, such as pipe reeling and reel building. Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
Demonstrated/previous mechanical aptitude (required).
Works with various hand and power tools.
Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Utilizes common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
Provides accurate work on a consistent basis meeting precise tolerances and standards.
Interpersonal skills sufficient to work closely with others on a team.
Ability to demonstrate flexibility in work environment performing a variety of frequently changing tasks.
Ability to work alone effectively under stress and in situations dangerous to self or others.
Completes some moderately repetitive tasks.
Continually required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 lbs.; stand.
Regularly required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.; push or pull; walk.

Specific vision abilities required: regular peripheral viewing; viewing length changes; close viewing with depth perception; and occasional distance viewing.
Specific hearing abilities required: need to perceive the spoken voice clearly and the need to hear warning signals up to 70dbs with or without assistance.
Specific speech abilities regularly required: comprehensible speech.

Previous experience in pipe extrusion is preferred.
Previously experience in extrusion (preferred).

Responsibilities

Set-up and operation of XP and UPP extrusion lines (multi-layer, multi-extruders nylon pipe).
Perform other extrusion duties as required and time permits (pipe reeling, reel building, etc.).
Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per Franklin Fueling Systems.
Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
Report problems with quality, process, equipment, and materials to Supervisor.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Meet daily production schedule as assigned.
Assembly and operation of extrusion line and set-up.
Involved in pipe line production, reel to reel, and reel building.
Provide on the job training to new employees.
Ensure all products are produced to the highest quality.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
