About The Position

This position is responsible for operating production machinery, inspecting products, troubleshooting issues, maintaining records, adhering to safety procedures, cleaning and maintaining equipment, handling materials, and supporting the team. The role requires basic mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, good communication skills, basic math skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment. The job involves performing duties in a manufacturing facility, potentially under deadlines, and requires a broad range of physical and mental activities.

Requirements

Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate production machinery.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
Basic math skills for measuring and recording production data.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment.
Ability to develop and implement complex procedures from general instructions and to exercise sound judgment and discretion.
Ability to accurately read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, clean and monitor production machines and equipment according to standard operating procedures.
Conduct regular inspections of products and materials to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Identify and resolve operational issues and report major problems to the supervisor.
Accurately record production data, including quantities produced, downtime, and any issues encountered.
Complete required documentation related to production runs, including production logs, inspection reports, and incident/accident reports.
Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards, adhering to good housekeeping practices.
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Assist with the training of new staff and collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
Build positive relationships with Company staff members; share information with appropriate parties; willingly cooperate with others and carries him/herself in an appropriate manner maintaining courteous and effective interactions and communication with other employees.
Properly handle and store raw materials and finished products, ensuring they are organized and correctly labeled.
Adheres to all policies and procedures.
Organize, prioritize and complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner.
Exercise effective problem solving techniques, engage in effective conflict resolution, and make timely decisions based upon logical conclusions of factual information.
Continues personal competency through training/ education, etc.
Report to work at the scheduled time, work as scheduled and is seldom absent from work.
