The Extrusion Maintenance Tech maintains and services all electrical and mechanical aspects in the Extrusion Department. This role involves servicing temperature controls on extruders, understanding all extrusion equipment, and performing various maintenance duties, both mechanical and electrical. The technician is expected to adhere to all plant and Extrusion safety rules and regularly maintain specific equipment components such as pack pressure, spin finish waste buckets, oil reservoirs, tack box filters, monomer, and main resin hopper screens. They will also change packs, jets, spin finish totes, and cooling drum filters as needed, and check compressors, air dryers, boilers, and chillers. Maintaining a clean and organized work area, performing scheduled preventative maintenance, addressing repairs, and reporting defects and damages to the maintenance supervisor are key responsibilities. Additionally, the technician must maintain records of all repairs and maintenance conducted on the machines.
