Extrusion Associate 2- 2nd Shift/Material Handler
About The Position
Cornerstone Building Brands is a leading manufacturer of exterior building products for residential and low-rise non-residential buildings in North America. The Extrusion Operator is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. This position involves working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, including heavy lifting or working with your hands. The role will be performed in a variety of departments and includes material handling responsibilities such as operating a forklift to move finished material, creating labels, scanning inventory, loading and unloading trucks, and weighing scrap racks and boxes.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 20 lbs. frequently; 40 lbs. occasionally for light production
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally for heavy production
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Familiarity with using and reading calipers
- Ability to operate hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble
- Ability to be cross-trained in multiple functions within and between multiple department lines
- Ability to stand or walk on a concrete floor surface for up to a twelve-hour shift
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
Responsibilities
- Fabrication and production of component parts for final assembly of windows
- Run a Drexel Forklift to move finished vinyl material into the warehouse
- Create material labels and scan in inventory
- Load and unload trucks of finished material
- Weigh up scrap racks and boxes from the finish area
