About The Position

Since its founding in 1992, Edgewood Properties has established itself as a leading real estate development and property management company. With corporate headquarters in New Jersey, the company is on a course of growth leading to activities across the nation. Given ongoing construction and development plans, our current apartment portfolio of 6,000 plus units is expected to double in the next couple of years and rise to over 12,000 units in the next five years. In addition, over 5 million square feet of commercial retail space. Given our rapid portfolio growth, coupled with ownership's desire to develop and hold rather than sell, the timing is ideal for qualified candidates to come on-board. We are currently seeking an experienced Exterior Technician. This position is headquartered out of our South Plainfield office, but will work at various sites throughout NJ.

Requirements

8-10 years experience in a related field
Ability to read, write & speak English
Ability to communicate with all staff members in a professional manner

Nice To Haves

High School diploma preferred

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair problems on the exterior of all buildings
Able to perform carpentry, framing, roofing, windows, doors, flooring, hardware accessories, masonry & painting
Complete assigned service requests and repairs
Able to complete general maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks in a timely manner
Assist the maintenance Manager with organizing the property workload & supply orders as needed
Assist with any other tasks that might be needed at the property
