About The Position

This Program Assistant position is a split between ANR and 4-H and is located in the Champaign County Extension office. Under general guidance, this role assists professional staff in program planning and development, program promotion, marketing with proper branding, video recording and editing, Facebook posts, and working with the Champaign County Master Gardener Program. The position involves teaching in classroom programs and other non-traditional 4-H events and activities. Public relations duties include answering phones, assisting walk-in clientele, program registration, and program evaluations. The position requires some flexibility for evening and weekend hours.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
2 years of relevant experience required.

Nice To Haves

Certification or vocational training may be required.
Associate degree in a relevant field may be preferred.
4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assists professional staff in program planning and development.
Assists in program promotion and marketing with proper branding.
Develops video recordings and edits them.
Creates Facebook posts.
Works with the Champaign County Master Gardener Program.
Teaches with 4-H in classroom programs and other non-traditional 4-H events and activities.
