Oklahoma State University (OSU) Extension educators serve as the primary point of contact between the University and the residents of Oklahoma across all 77 counties. Established in 1914, OSU Extension operates as a federal, state, and county partnership with the mission of disseminating research-based knowledge and encouraging its adoption throughout Oklahoma. Extension educators provide this vital information to clientele in key areas including agriculture, family and consumer sciences, 4-H youth development, and community and rural development. This specific position is based in the Custer County Extension Office in Arapaho, Oklahoma, and will focus approximately 90% on agricultural programs and 10% on 4-H youth development. The role involves collaborating with local clientele and advisory groups to plan, implement, and evaluate the overall OSU Extension County program. The incumbent will be required to maintain a cellular or other electronic communication device, with compensation included in their salary for its use. Extension educators are expected to adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines concerning equal opportunity, civil rights, and affirmative action. Employment is contingent upon need, performance, and available county funding. Future relocation may be a possibility as educators are hired into the organization rather than a specific location.
