Express Technician - 394 Hyundai
About The Position
Morrie's Auto Group is hiring an Express Technician at Morrie's 394 Hyundai in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota. The technician diagnoses and repairs vehicle systems, checks that systems and components are secure and functioning properly, and uses test drives and diagnostic equipment to assess vehicles. The role also includes inspecting critical vehicle parts, using power, machine, and hand tools, and writing vehicle damage repair estimates. The position is full-time, with an hourly salary range of $18.00–$20.00. Morrie's describes clean, well-maintained, multi-million-dollar work environments and opportunities for advancement into management. Newly hired technicians may qualify, based on experience, for a toolbox with tools or a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000.
Requirements
- Able to work flexible hours and on Saturdays.
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a background check.

- For entry-level applicants, working knowledge of cars is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair problems with engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and similar systems.
- Test vehicle systems and components to verify they are secure and working properly.
- Test-drive vehicles or use equipment such as compression gauges and diagnostic computers.
- Maintain efficiency and accuracy when diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
- Follow a checklist to examine each critical part of a vehicle.
- Inspect hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes, and other potentially troublesome parts.
- Use power tools, including pneumatic wrenches, to remove bolts.
- Use machine tools, such as grinding machines and lathes, to rebuild brakes.
- Use common hand tools, including screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers, to work on small-scale parts.
- Write vehicle damage repair estimates.
