About The Position

Group 1 Honda of Woodstock is seeking Express Lube Technicians/Mechanics to perform routine vehicle maintenance at a quality dealership. Technicians follow dealership, manufacturer, and shop procedures while providing accurate service and communicating vehicle status to service advisors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic understanding of automotive systems, including engines, brakes, tires, and fluids.
• Ability to perform oil and filter changes.
• Ability to rotate tires and check tire pressure.
• Ability to check and top off transmission, coolant, brake, and power-steering fluids.
• Ability to test and replace batteries.
• Ability to visually inspect belts, hoses, and filters.
• Familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow manufacturer and shop service procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, fluid services, and routine vehicle maintenance efficiently and accurately according to dealership and factory standards.
• Inspect vehicles for basic safety and maintenance items, including tires, brakes, belts, hoses, and filters.
• Rotate tires and check or adjust tire pressures.
• Accurately document services performed and inspection findings.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Road-test vehicles when necessary to verify completed work.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures.
• Provide timely vehicle-status updates and recommended services to service advisors.
• Participate in ongoing training to expand technical knowledge and skills.
• Uphold company values in interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors.
