Express Technician - Group 1 Ford & Lincoln Atlanta
About The Position
Group 1 Ford & Lincoln Atlanta is seeking Express Lube Technicians/Mechanics to perform routine vehicle maintenance at a dealership representing Ford and Lincoln. The role calls for technicians who value customer service, take pride in their work, and work well as part of a team. Technicians follow dealership and factory standards, document work and inspection findings, maintain a safe and organized work area, and communicate vehicle status and recommended services to service advisors. The position includes ongoing and paid training, provided equipment, and opportunities for advancement.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver license.
- Basic understanding of automotive systems, including engines, brakes, tires, and fluids.
- Ability to perform oil and filter changes, tire rotations and pressure checks, fluid checks and top-offs, battery testing and replacement, and visual inspections of belts, hoses, and filters.
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to follow manufacturer and shop service procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes, fluid services, and routine vehicle maintenance efficiently and accurately according to dealership and factory standards.
- Inspect vehicles for basic safety and maintenance items, including tires, brakes, belts, hoses, and filters.
- Rotate tires and check or adjust tire pressures.
- Accurately document services performed and inspection findings.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Road-test vehicles when necessary to verify completed work.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures.
- Provide timely vehicle-status and recommended-service updates to service advisors.
- Participate in ongoing training to expand technical knowledge and skills.
