Express Lube Technician
About The Position
Scholfield Honda is hiring an Express Lube Technician to maintain and service customer vehicles at its Honda East location in Wichita, Kansas. The technician will perform oil changes, prepare vehicle service reports, replace wiper blades and batteries, service and rotate tires, and complete other maintenance tasks. As skills develop, the company provides training in additional maintenance and preventive services, including Honda factory training. The technician works alongside and receives guidance from the shop Foreman. The position is scheduled for a four-day work week with ten-hour shifts and no Sunday or holiday work. The dealership describes its facility as state-of-the-art and climate controlled, and offers opportunities for training and career advancement.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Completion of drug and background screening.
- Prior experience in a similar role or automotive schooling; entry-level positions are also available for applicants without prior experience or schooling.

- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
- Change motor oil, filters, and lubricants in a timely and thorough manner.
- Lubricate wheel bearings to help prevent excessive tire wear.
- Replace cabin, fuel, air, and oil filters as required.
- Test tire pressure and perform tire rotations to promote even tire wear.
- Thoroughly inspect customer vehicles for oil leaks.
- Prepare vehicle service reports.
- Replace vehicle wiper blades and car batteries.
- Change, rotate, and balance tires.
- Perform additional maintenance and service tasks as skills progress.
