About The Position

Hendrick Automotive Group is hiring a full-time, entry-level Express Lube Technician for Hendrick Kia of Concord in Concord, North Carolina. This opportunity is for a mechanically inclined, dependable candidate who wants to build an automotive career. Kia experience is not required; training is provided. The technician performs express maintenance services and supports vehicles across Kia’s lineup, including electric and hybrid models. Starting pay is $18.50 per hour, with performance-based pay plans, bonuses, and opportunities to advance into higher-level technician roles as skills and Kia certifications grow.

The role is based primarily in the service area and involves moving around vehicles, working in various physical positions, and safely operating tools and equipment. Exposure may include loud noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service conditions. The position includes regular interaction with service advisors and the service manager. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the shift. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts and systems, mechanical aptitude, and eagerness to learn.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to work a full-time schedule, including rotating Saturdays and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.

Nice To Haves

• Up to 3 years of automotive experience is preferred but not required.
• Kia experience is not required; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform express lube services, including oil and filter changes, joint lubrication, and fluid top-offs.
• Check and refill batteries, tire pressure, windshield fluid, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, and coolant.
• Accurately and promptly report necessary repairs to the service advisor.
• Install the LOF reminder sticker and verify fluid levels before releasing the vehicle.
• Ensure vehicles are clean and free of fluid residue or fingerprints before returning them to customers.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
• Accurately record all hours worked in the company timekeeping system.
• Participate in required Kia training and follow all safety protocols.
