About The Position

Suburban Toyota of Farmington Hills is seeking motivated Lube Technicians for its fast-paced Service team. This entry-level opportunity is suited to someone interested in building a long-term career in automotive service, with training, mentorship, and advancement opportunities toward a Service Technician role. The shop is described as busy and well organized, with a steady workflow and a supportive, team-first culture. Tools, resources, and leadership support are provided to help employees grow. The role performs routine vehicle maintenance and inspections, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and multi-point inspections. Employees are expected to complete and document work accurately and efficiently, keep the work area clean and safe, communicate maintenance recommendations to Service Advisors, and support Technicians and the Shop Foreman as needed. Compensation is hourly, with the opportunity for production-based incentives. Paid training and development are offered, and advancement may be based on skill and performance.

Requirements

Entry-level automotive or quick-lube experience.
Willingness to learn and grow in a dealership environment.
Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced shop setting.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

Import experience preferred; Nissan experience is preferred.
Honda experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and basic maintenance services.
Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections.
Ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Document services performed clearly and correctly.
Communicate maintenance recommendations to Service Advisors.
Support Technicians and the Shop Foreman as needed.
