About The Position

The pricing analyst will be responsible for front-line execution of the North American Export marketing and yield management strategies through pricing activity, lifting monitoring against award, customer performance evaluation, and service contract maintenance. The role involves strategizing and negotiating rates in coordination with supervisors and management, reporting deviations from standard conditions, and supporting marketing reports for customer analysis and goal setting. The analyst will also be responsible for setting and maintaining guideline rates for export trades from North America, monitoring pricing results, taking corrective actions, and communicating these actions to sales staff. Additionally, the role includes assisting in the management and development of tools such as cost and transit time tables.

  • 2+ industry experience and/or 1+ function related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Strategize and negotiate rates in coordination with Supervisor and/or Manager and Strategic Yield Management including exemptions and deviations targeted at meeting business plan goals.
  • Report to Supervisor and/or Manager any deviations from the standard conditions; coordinate with relevant teams to make sure rate offer reflects the cost factor involved.
  • Support Supervisor and/or Manager in providing marketing reports related to customers when setting up target accounts and departmental goals.
  • Responsible for setting & maintaining guideline rates for export trades from North America in line with the strategy of the Export Marketing directive.
  • Monitor, measure and take corrective action on pricing results. This requires communication of corrective action to the NA Sales staff when necessary.
  • Assist to manage/maintain tools including cost table and transit time table and develop those tools for betterment/efficiency.
  • May attend face-to-face negotiation meeting with customer as necessary as directed by Supervisor and/or Manager.
  • Available for possible travel domestically and internationally, as required.
