About The Position

The Expo serves as the link between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, coordinating the accurate and timely delivery of food orders and helping ensure a smooth dining experience. The role involves managing multiple orders, communicating with chefs and servers, checking food presentation and completeness, and promptly resolving issues during service. It requires attention to detail, organization, physical stamina, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Must be 18 or older to apply.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working as an Expo or in a similar coordinating role within a restaurant.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and order management software.
• Certification in food handling or safety.
• Ability to multitask effectively during high-volume service periods.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the flow of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Communicate with kitchen staff and servers to manage order priorities and special requests.
• Inspect dishes for quality, presentation, and completeness before they leave the kitchen.
• Manage and organize multiple orders during peak service times.
• Address and resolve issues related to food orders or service delays promptly and professionally.
