Haleon's Montreal site is a manufacturing facility for liquid, solid, and semi-solid health products, characterized by complex regulatory factors, technical processes, and high-risk activities. Haleon is currently seeking a Technical Expert for Products and Processes to join the Montreal (Saint-Laurent) team. This role is ideal for individuals who want to contribute directly to the development, improvement, and performance of products in a stimulating technical environment, and who are motivated by problem-solving, project management, and collaboration with internal and external partners. As a Technical Expert for Products and Processes, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the product lifecycle, optimizing manufacturing and packaging processes, and contributing to the success of launch, maintenance, and continuous improvement projects within the Technical Services department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience related to manufacturing and/or packaging processes for healthcare products and/or food products.
  • Proficiency in French is required for this position to ensure effective communication and compliance with operational and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent understanding of formulations, manufacturing processes, and packaging processes.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Very good proficiency with computer systems.
  • Bilingualism in French & English is required – Due to the nature of the work tasks, candidates must be bilingual in French and English (written/spoken) to be considered, as the incumbent will need to work closely with external/internal stakeholders in other provinces/countries who do not speak French.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in new product launch projects and manage maintenance projects for current products.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Monitor schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal clients and project partners.
  • Evaluate opportunities and risks related to a specific group of products.
  • Assess process capability and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain and optimize formulas as well as manufacturing and packaging processes to meet quality, compliance, and commercial requirements.
  • Qualify new raw materials and packaging components, and establish their specifications.
  • Execute the processes required for batch production in a manufacturing environment, including updating management systems.
  • Develop, review, and approve master manufacturing and packaging documents.
  • Validate manufacturing/packaging processes for new products and evaluate the impact of changes on the validation of existing products.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Support operations in resolving technical problems.
