The Expert Service Center Technician is responsible for performing service activities at service center locations in a safe and efficient manner. This role includes working with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, assisting with shop and yard work, and ensuring a safe work environment. The position may occasionally interface with customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Capable of obtaining a CDL (Class A or B) with applicable endorsements
  • 3–7 years of technical experience in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing work
  • Experience with customer service
  • Experience working independently without direct supervision
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, or plumbing skillset
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to synthesize technical information and communicate it clearly
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Strong safety awareness and adherence to procedures
  • Ability to complete driver-related forms and background checks
  • Clean driving record
  • DOT Medical Card – if applicable

Nice To Haves

  • Technical or trade school background
  • Technical certifications, industry-specific licenses, or military technical experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor junior technicians as needed

  • Assist with general shop and yard tasks as required
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and customers
  • Travel to customer or job sites as needed (up to 20%)
