About The Position

We specialize in sustainable forestry practices and are committed to the safety and well-being of our employees and the environment. We are seeking a skilled Expert Sawyer/Arborist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely felling trees, cutting logs/brush, and performing various chainsaw operator tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of tree species, cutting techniques, and safety protocols.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s License
• Minimum 2+ years chainsaw experience
• Ability to travel
• Ability to pass background check and pre-employment screening

Nice To Haves

• Arborist or line clearance arborist certification
• Experience with directional felling
• Some background in forestry or right-of-way clearing
• Technical roping and rigging
• Proven experience as a chainsaw operator, preferably in logging or forestry operations
• Valid CDL (no air brake endorsement) preferred
• Certification in forestry or related field
• First aid and CPR certification
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Responsibilities

• Safely fell trees using chainsaws
• Assess tree conditions and determine best cutting techniques
• Trim and cut logs to specified lengths
• Maintain and operate chainsaws and other equipment
• Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective gear
• Clear debris and ensure the work area is safe
• Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment
• Adhere to environmental regulations and company policies
