The growing team is looking for automotive claims professionals. Reporting to the Director, Auto Claims, you will be responsible for the management and final resolution of auto claims through telephone contact and in accordance with best practices. Depending on the levels of authority, quality standards and current provincial legislative requirements. All other tasks assigned by your manager.

Requirements

  • Valid AMF Claim Adjuster license
  • Understanding of auto terminology, car market and auto estimates
  • Excellent organizational and negotiating skills
  • Bilingualism required, French and English, both spoken and written
  • Excellent ability to provide outstanding customer service
  • Demonstrates good team spirit, negotiation skills, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in French and English as this role is bilingual

  • Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years’ experience in auto insurance and/or 2 -year Total Loss experience is considered an asset
  • Understanding of insurance policy wording
  • Demonstrate experience in insurance and understanding of the discipline
  • Possesses a good understanding of the compensation agreement and claims settlement expertise principles
  • Total Loss experience is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and research the value of vehicles through various methods
  • Review and analyze documents from internal and external sources in relation to the evaluation process for vehicles
  • Adhere to and maintain departmental standards and/or KPI’s
  • Provide a superior customer service experience for policyholders and prompt and equitable settlement of claims
  • Other tasks as required
  • Review insurance policy and coverages
  • Investigate automobile claims (i.e.: unlisted operator) and determine coverage and liability
  • Settle claims in accordance with organization’s policies and practices.
  • Required to collaborate with the customer, service suppliers (i.e. towing, repair shops), other insurance companies and law enforcement
