About The Position

Team Red Dog is hiring an Experiences Marketing Manager for our client, a Fortune 50 technology leader and creative technology powerhouse. This long-term, remote contract role will lead brand marketing and go-to-market strategy for a globally recognized gaming franchise’s portfolio of theme park attractions, location-based entertainment, traveling exhibitions, live events, and experiential brand activations. You’ll partner with experience operators, venues, production companies, agencies, and internal marketing teams to develop integrated campaigns that grow audiences, drive attendance, strengthen franchise affinity, and bring memorable physical experiences to fans around the world. This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced experiential marketer who combines strategic marketing expertise, strong project management, and entertainment business acumen.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of marketing experience in theme parks, location-based entertainment, experiential or event marketing, live entertainment, destination marketing, or comparable consumer experiences.
  • Direct experience working at or alongside major experience operators, IP holders, experiential agencies, traveling exhibitions, theme parks, or large-scale live event organizations.
  • Proven experience managing operator, venue, production, and agency partnerships as a senior marketing counterpart.
  • Strong understanding of place-based and experiential marketing, including opening campaigns, always-on attendance marketing, seasonal programs, and on-site guest experience marketing.
  • Experience developing integrated marketing programs across owned, earned, paid, partner, retail, and on-site channels.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent programs at different stages of development and execution.
  • Experience managing scopes, schedules, budgets, deliverables, approvals, and external partners.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and influencing skills within complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Excellent business communication, writing, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • All applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience marketing global entertainment IP, gaming franchises, or major multi-category consumer brands is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with player- and fan-driven communities and developing experiences that build cultural relevance, engagement, and repeat visitation is preferred.
  • A highly successful candidate will bring a meaningful combination of experiential marketing leadership, project management, and entertainment business acumen rather than traditional marketing experience alone.
  • Particularly relevant backgrounds include theme parks, location-based entertainment, traveling exhibitions, experiential agencies, destination marketing, large-scale live entertainment, or organizations managing major entertainment IP.
  • Experience with companies or environments comparable to Disney, Universal, Merlin Entertainments, or other leading experience operators is especially relevant.
  • The strongest candidates will be comfortable moving between strategy and execution—developing a go-to-market approach while also managing operators, agencies, creative assets, budgets, timelines, approvals, and live activation details across multiple concurrent programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and activate brand marketing programs across theme park lands and attractions, location-based entertainment, traveling exhibitions, fan events, and experiential brand activations.
  • Lead end-to-end marketing strategy, positioning, go-to-market planning, and in-market execution for physical and live experiences.
  • Partner with experience operators, production companies, venues, agencies, and creative partners to develop opening campaigns, ongoing attendance-driving programs, and seasonal marketing initiatives.
  • Translate franchise priorities into clear marketing briefs, messaging frameworks, creative direction, and integrated campaigns.
  • Develop scalable frameworks, toolkits, and operating models that enable consistent experiences marketing across partners, venues, regions, and franchise moments.
  • Identify opportunities to extend experiences into culture and community through conventions, pop-ups, fan events, and other live moments that generate awareness, earned media, and franchise engagement.
  • Develop integrated communications plans spanning owned, earned, paid, partner, retail, social, influencer, community, web, PR, and on-site channels.
  • Collaborate with global and regional marketing teams to support coordinated and localized execution across priority markets.
  • Manage program operations including scopes, timelines, budgets, contracts, approvals, asset development, on-site execution, invoicing, and reporting.
  • Monitor attendance, audience growth, brand impact, earned reach, and other performance measures, translating insights into recommendations for future programs.

  • Health insurance (medical, dental, vision, and life)
  • Employer-matched 401K plan
