Experienced Software Engineer, Product (Israel)

Brex is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join their new Israeli R&D site. The successful candidate will be responsible for building customer-facing products that will drive direct business impact and shape the company's long-term technical vision. They will have the opportunity to learn and push the frontier of providing the best financial software experience to help companies grow. The ideal candidate will have proven hands-on experience building and designing scalable backend systems, working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases, and working with backend programming languages in complex, highly scaled backend environments.

• Own functionality and scalability features by taking responsibility from inception to deployment.
• Be responsible for full software development lifecycle - design, development, testing, operating in production
• Uphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency to the codebases, infrastructure, and processes you will encounter.

• Proven hands on experience building and designing scalable backend systems
• Proven hands on experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
• Proven hands on experience working with backend programming languages in complex, highly scaled backend environments (preferably Java, Kotlin, Python)
• Familiarity with software engineering development cycles, and best practices
• Experience in multi-domains, micro-services environments with clear ownership model
• Ability to hold yourself and the team to high standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
