About The Position

Mercedes-Benz of Romeoville is seeking an experienced, certified automotive service technician to perform diagnostics, service, and repairs in a clean, safe, climate-controlled facility. The role includes warranty work and requires technicians to meet manufacturer specifications while working efficiently with a supportive team. The position pays $30.00 to $50.00 per hour, depending on experience. Requirements

• At least 5 years of automotive Service Technician experience.
• A-Level qualifications, including diagnostic, electrical, and engine repair expertise.
• Ability to learn and master new vehicle technology, repair procedures, and digital diagnostic tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and a clean, acceptable driving record.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong focus on shop safety and efficiency.
• Ability to perform the listed physical tasks, including routinely lifting or moving up to 40 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Mercedes-Benz or luxury brand certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform automotive diagnostics, service, and repairs specified on repair orders, including warranty work, efficiently and to manufacturer specifications.
• Use OEM electronic diagnostic equipment and special service tools to troubleshoot engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brake, and climate control systems.
• Test-drive vehicles and test critical components to verify repairs are complete and accurate.
• Communicate directly and transparently with Service Advisors about vehicle status and estimated time for additional repairs.
