About The Position

Porsche New Orleans is seeking an Experienced Pre-Owned Sales Consultant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in automotive sales, with a strong background in pre-owned vehicle sales and a passion for delivering an exceptional luxury automotive experience. The consultant will primarily focus on selling pre-owned vehicles while also selling new Porsche vehicles. The ideal candidate understands the importance of building long-term customer relationships, generating repeat and referral business, and providing a first-class experience throughout the entire sales process. This position requires a highly motivated, professional, and knowledgeable sales professional who can effectively present a diverse pre-owned inventory while also demonstrating the value, performance, technology, and craftsmanship of new Porsche vehicles. Sales Consultants are expected to meet daily productivity minimums utilizing the dealership's CRM, including calls, texts, and emails. This position is also responsible for presenting and negotiating vehicle pricing and financing options, completing all required sales documentation, and following dealership and Porsche standards, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years of automotive sales experience required.
  • Proven track record of success in automotive sales.
  • Strong knowledge of pre-owned vehicle sales, appraisal considerations, vehicle history, and competitive market positioning.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive products, features, technology, and sales processes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to appropriately represent the Porsche brand.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Comfortable utilizing a CRM and other computer-based systems.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Must submit to and successfully complete an MVR, background check, and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong pre-owned automotive sales experience preferred.
  • Luxury automotive sales experience preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of automotive sales experience at one dealership preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Sell pre-owned vehicles while also selling new Porsche vehicles.
  • Consistently work toward and achieve individual and dealership sales goals.
  • Deliver a professional, knowledgeable, and exceptional customer experience consistent with the Porsche brand.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the dealership's pre-owned inventory, including vehicle features, options, history, value, and competitive positioning.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of Porsche models, features, technology, performance capabilities, options, and benefits.
  • Meet or exceed daily, monthly, and annual sales and productivity objectives.
  • Utilize the dealership CRM to maintain accurate customer records and complete required follow-up activities, including calls, texts, and emails.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers to generate repeat and referral business.
  • Conduct professional vehicle presentations and demonstrations.
  • Effectively explain the features, benefits, technology, and value of both pre-owned vehicles and new Porsche vehicles.
  • Accurately present vehicle pricing, payment options, financing options, and available products to customers.
  • Negotiate vehicle purchases in accordance with dealership policies and management guidelines.
  • Complete all required sales paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Follow up with customers after the sale to ensure satisfaction and strengthen the customer relationship.
  • Maintain accurate customer and sales activity information in the CRM.
  • Participate in dealership and Porsche training programs to remain current on products, technology, sales processes, and industry developments.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales, finance, service, and management teams to provide a seamless customer experience.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor consistent with the Porsche brand.
  • Adhere to all dealership policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
