Experienced Powersports Service Technician
About The Position
River Valley Power Sport is seeking an experienced Powersports Service Technician to diagnose problems, repair machines correctly, and produce quality work without constant supervision. This is an opportunity for an established technician to join a growing dealership with strong service volume, premium brands, modern facilities, and year-round work. Requirements
- Previous experience as a Powersports Technician, Motorcycle Technician, ATV Technician, UTV Technician, Marine Technician, Automotive Technician, Diesel Technician, or similar mechanical repair professional
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Personal tools and toolbox
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
Nice To Haves
- Dealership experience
- OEM certifications
- Experience with Can-Am, Polaris, Yamaha, Suzuki, Sea-Doo, or Ski-Doo products
- Electrical diagnostic experience
- Experience using service software and repair documentation systems
- Multi-line powersports repair experience
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, UTVs, snowmobiles, and personal watercraft
- Perform scheduled maintenance and preventative service
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, fuel systems, charging systems, drivetrains, suspension components, and engines
- Complete customer-pay and warranty repairs accurately and efficiently
- Install accessories, performance upgrades, and OEM components
- Assemble and prepare new units for customer delivery
- Maintain repair documentation and technician notes
- Collaborate with Service Advisors and Parts Specialists to ensure efficient workflow
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
