About The Position

As an HVAC Foreman, you will lead jobs, crews, and projects alongside other HVAC installers and apprentices. Holding either a Mechanical Journeyman or Unlimited Mechanical Contractor license, you will play a crucial role in the success of our projects, primarily focusing on new residential and multi-family construction. Kimbel Mechanical Systems, LLC is Arkansas' largest mechanical contractor performing work nationwide. We perform all phases of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work on projects such as single-family homes, apartments, condominiums, hotels, and student housing. This position is a safety-sensitive position. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Mechanical Journeyman or Mechanical Contractor license from the Oklahoma Construction Industries Board (CIB). (Limited or Unlimited classification).
  • Must hold a current EPA Section 608 Certification for safe refrigerant handling.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to empower and train individuals within your team.
  • Comprehensive understanding of local Oklahoma municipality codes and the International Mechanical Code (IMC).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for professional collaboration with builders, general contractors, and project managers.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work 6 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as project demands require.
  • Valid driver’s license and a strong, consistent work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Install, modify, inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment according to Oklahoma and National Mechanical Codes.
  • Directly supervise apprentices and junior installers on-site, ensuring all work meets state safety and quality standards.
  • Identify hazards and safety problems applicable to the installation and operations of HVAC projects and take immediate corrective action.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, building and maintaining schedules to meet strict deadlines.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications to ensure accurate installation.
  • Complete quality control sheets and documentation for municipal inspections.
