About The Position

DCH Honda of Oxnard is hiring an experienced Honda Service Technician. The position performs vehicle repairs and maintenance in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards, diagnoses malfunctions, and ensures repairs meet quality and safety requirements. Technicians document repair work and test results, use shop materials economically, maintain a clean and organized work area, and complete required manufacturer and ASE training and certifications. The role requires Honda OEM experience, manufacturer certification in the listed repair areas, a valid driver's license, and an acceptable driving record. The position is performance-driven and eligible for production- and productivity-based incentives. Average pay is $35.00–$55.00 per flat rate hour; qualified candidates are eligible for a $3,000 signing bonus payable after 90 days of employment. Candidates must be at least 18 and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Requirements

• Honda Technician experience is required.
• At least 5 years of automotive technical knowledge and Honda OEM experience.
• At least 2 years of experience (the posting does not specify a separate experience category).
• Passed manufacturer training and able to perform without supervision: lube and maintenance services; engine repair; automatic transmission; manual drive train repair; suspension and steering repair; brake repair; electrical and electrical systems repair; hybrid and alternative fuels; and heating and air conditioning repair.
• Manufacturer certification in all listed repair areas.
• Appropriate smog license or state emissions certification, as applicable by state or city.
• Customer Pay Repairs proficiency greater than 115%.
• Valid driver's license in the state of residence and an acceptable driving record.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.
• Availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Engine drivability diagnosis and repair is optional.

Responsibilities

• Perform work listed on repair orders efficiently and accurately, following Lithia and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions.
• Complete work according to applicable safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles to verify repair quality.
• Record repair time using company time-clock procedures.
• Document work performed and test procedures and results on repair orders.
• Use shop supplies and materials practically and economically.
• Maintain an organized, clean workspace and clean the work stall daily.
• Return customer vehicles as clean as they were before service.
• Complete required training and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications.
• Participate in and use technical training assigned by management.
• Review technical bulletins and other publications as assigned by management.
• Communicate constructively with dealership personnel to meet customer needs.
