About The Position

May's Fleet Sales & Service is hiring an experienced diesel technician to work in its clean, heated, modern 13-bay shop in Syracuse, New York. The company has supported Central New York delivery, utility, and service fleets for more than 25 years. The position pays $35–$45 per hour, with an up to $3,000 sign-on bonus and tool allowance. Work is Monday through Friday on the first shift, with evenings and weekends at home. The technician will diagnose and repair Class 3–8 fleet trucks from manufacturers including Freightliner, Mack, Peterbilt, International, Ford, Mitsubishi Fuso, Hino, and Isuzu. Work includes engines, aftertreatment, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, driveline, preventive maintenance, and New York State inspections. Fleet customers provide varied work and a predictable schedule. Requirements

At least 3 years of experience repairing medium- or heavy-duty diesel trucks.
Solid electrical diagnostic skills.
Experience with diagnostic software.
Own hand tools.
Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

CDL.
New York State inspector certificate.
ASE certifications.
