About The Position

TA Travel Center/LV Petroleum is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician at a busy travel center location in Lake City, Florida. The technician provides accurate and efficient customer service by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers in a professional and accommodating manner. The role supports the company’s goal of returning travelers to the road in better condition than they arrived. The position involves working in a service-focused, collaborative environment, learning the products and services offered, assessing vehicle wear, and making repair recommendations with a TSA or Manager. Technicians complete repairs within their capabilities and as written, understand Truck Service Standard Services and specialized customer programs, and follow safety guidelines.

Requirements

Work well with others and be excited to be part of the team.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
A valid driver's license.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays, in interior and exterior conditions.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a repair or parts shop is preferred.
Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
Provide accurate, efficient, professional, and accommodating service to customers.
Develop extensive knowledge of the products sold and services provided.
Diagnose wear conditions and make recommendations to customers together with a TSA or Manager.
Complete repairs within personal capabilities and as written.
Understand Truck Service Standard Services and specialized customer programs.
Follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations caused by team members or customers.
