Experienced Dental Assistant
About The Position
Dentists on Hancock is seeking an Experienced Dental Assistant to join a team focused on clinical excellence and creating lasting patient relationships. The role offers opportunities to develop skills and clinical efficiency while working with modern dental technology and supporting oral health care in the local community. The Dental Assistant is a patient and clinician advocate and contributes to the Perfect Patient Experience®. The position supports the dentist in helping patients commit to appropriate treatment, maintains a clean, sterile, and welcoming environment, and completes X-rays and intra-oral photographs as directed. The Dental Assistant also sterilizes and disinfects instruments, equipment, and operatories in accordance with American Dental Association guidelines and applicable regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist as necessary to help gain the patient’s commitment to the best possible treatment with urgency.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where patients feel comfortable.
- Complete X-rays and intra-oral pictures of patients as appropriate and at the direction of the dentist.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories in accordance with American Dental Association guidelines.
- Maintain compliance with applicable state, federal, and other regulations and policies, including OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, and HR policies and practices.
