About The Position

ComForCare Home Care is urgently hiring an experienced Caregiver to provide personalized in-home senior care for a client in Elgin, Illinois. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys providing hands-on assistance, companionship, and dependable support to older adults while helping them remain comfortable and independent in their own home. CNA certification is not required. We are looking for an experienced caregiver with a strong background in senior care, home care, personal care, or companion care. The position offers a morning/day shift and involves providing one-on-one in-home senior care and companionship, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), personal care, mobility, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and following the client's individualized care plan. The role also requires observing and communicating changes in the client's condition, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Requirements

  • Previous professional caregiving experience required.
  • CNA certification not required.
  • Experience in senior care, elderly care, home care, personal care, companion care, or private duty caregiving preferred.
  • Experience assisting with ADLs and personal care.
  • Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in a client's home.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Current Auto Insurance.
  • Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one in-home senior care and companionship.
  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
  • Provide personal care while respecting the client's privacy, dignity, and independence.
  • Assist with mobility, walking, transfers, and fall prevention.
  • Prepare meals and provide assistance with nutrition and hydration.
  • Help with light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining an organized home.
  • Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction.
  • Follow the client's individualized care plan.
  • Observe and communicate changes in the client's condition to the care team.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
