Experienced Automotive Technician
About The Position
Meineke is seeking an experienced automotive technician to perform basic maintenance, assist with diagnosing and troubleshooting vehicle issues, and support routine inspections and repairs. The role follows Meineke’s operating procedures and safety guidelines and requires accurate service documentation and effective communication with senior technicians, service advisors, and customers. The technician is expected to provide high-quality customer service and continue developing automotive knowledge and skills through training and other Meineke resources. Compensation is listed as $1,000–$1,500 per week.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of automotive systems and components.
- Familiarity with diagnostic equipment used in automotive repair.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience or technical training in automotive repair is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic automotive maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
- Assist experienced technicians in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical vehicle issues.
- Follow Meineke standard operating procedures and safety guidelines when handling tools, equipment, and vehicle systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and assist with basic repairs to brakes, suspension systems, exhaust systems, and other automotive components.
- Maintain accurate records of services, parts used, labor hours, and vehicle conditions.
- Collaborate with senior technicians and service advisors to communicate vehicle issues, repair recommendations, and estimated costs to customers.
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer concerns professionally.
- Update automotive knowledge and skills through training sessions, workshops, and Meineke resources.
