About The Position

Meineke is seeking an Automotive Technician to perform basic maintenance, assist with diagnosing and repairing vehicle issues, and help deliver high-quality customer service in a locally owned shop. The role involves working with senior technicians and service advisors, following company procedures and safety guidelines, documenting work accurately, and developing automotive knowledge through ongoing training. Compensation is listed as $1,000–$1,500 per week.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic understanding of automotive systems and components.
Familiarity with automotive diagnostic equipment.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Perform basic maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
Assist experienced technicians with diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical vehicle issues.
Follow Meineke standard operating procedures and safety guidelines when handling tools, equipment, and vehicle systems.
Conduct routine inspections and assist with repairs to brakes, suspension systems, exhaust systems, and other automotive components.
Maintain accurate records of services, parts used, labor hours, and vehicle conditions.
Collaborate with senior technicians and service advisors to communicate vehicle issues, repair recommendations, and estimated costs to customers.
Provide professional service and address customer concerns to support customer satisfaction.
Participate in training and use Meineke resources to keep automotive knowledge and skills current.
