About The Position

Fields Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician (Journeyman / A-Level) to join their high-volume shop in Glenview, IL. Requirements

Minimum 2+ years of professional automotive technician experience (Journeyman or A-Level preferred).
Strong A-level capabilities in advanced diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and heavy engine repair.
High school diploma or equivalent certification.
Proficient with electronic diagnostic equipment; experience with CDK dealer management software is a strong plus.
A positive attitude, a strong customer-service mentality, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
Valid Driver’s License with a clean motor vehicle record acceptable to dealership insurance guidelines.

Responsibilities

Execute repairs efficiently based on repair orders and in strict accordance with dealership and manufacturer specifications.
Diagnose major vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
Utilize electronic diagnostic equipment and specialized service tools to test-drive vehicles and assess components.
Collaborate with Service Advisors to provide accurate time estimates and report any additional required vehicle services.
Perform warranty repairs to precise manufacturer guidelines.
