About The Position

Carvana is seeking an experienced auto body technician to perform bodywork on multiple panels at one of its high-tech vehicle Inspection Centers. Work includes heavy plastic welding, minor metal pulling, roof and rocker panel repair, and large-area heavy bodywork, including Bondo repair. The role is part of Carvana’s vehicle reconditioning process, preparing cars for customers. The position works a second-shift schedule Monday through Thursday, 5:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., and may require mandatory overtime based on business needs. The job requires at least three years of professional automotive bodywork experience, the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, and the ability to use tools and equipment safely. Carvana offers training programs for entry-level roles, though this position is described as experienced. Applicants must be at least 18, hold a valid driver’s license, and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Hiring is contingent on passing a background check. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least three years of professional automotive bodywork experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age and a valid driver’s license.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.
