About The Position
CliftonLarsonAllen, LLP is hiring an Experienced Audit Associate to serve higher education clients in New England. The role performs significant audit and other assurance engagements, builds client relationships, and provides close personal attention to clients’ needs. The position is based in-office at any one of CLA’s Massachusetts or Rhode Island offices. The role offers a foundation for progression into leadership positions or specialized practice areas.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of relevant professional services experience; completed internships may qualify as related experience.
- Ability to travel to client sites, which may require infrequent overnight travel.
Nice To Haves
- Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of audit and accounting procedures affecting industry-specific issues.
- Audit complex areas or transactions and prepare financial statements and related reports.
- Schedule, delegate, and review staff work.
- Supervise, train, and mentor staff.
- Keep the Manager or Principal informed about engagement status and issues.
- Proactively interact and communicate with clients to gather information and ensure timely engagement wrap-up.
