About The Position

As an Audit Associate at Baker Tilly, you will be a member of engagement teams delivering audit and other assurance services, and may provide consulting services. You will work with privately held and publicly traded companies at various stages of development, engage with clients throughout the year, and develop client-service and technical accounting skills. Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience.
• Four-year degree and license eligibility.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment with all levels of client personnel.
• Demonstrated time-management, communication, interpersonal, relationship-building, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Organizational and analytical skills, initiative, and adaptability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or a related business degree, with sufficient coursework and credits to sit for the CPA exam in the state of consideration.
• Outstanding academic performance; preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Relevant internship or work experience and/or involvement with a professional organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide assurance and consulting services as a member of engagement teams.
• Engage proactively with clients throughout the year to gather information needed to complete testing and respond to questions.
• Perform substantive testing on clients’ balance sheets and income statements.
• Test internal controls for deficiencies and discuss recommendations for improvement.
• Participate in on-the-job coaching, mentoring, and firm-wide learning and development programs.
• Network and build relationships internally and externally with clients.
