About The Position

The Department of Patient Experience and Experience Initiatives at U of U Health is seeking an Experience Community Coordinator to support department programs, learning initiatives, and daily operations. Reporting to the Experience Initiatives Experience Operations Manager, this role supports the coordination of experience-focused work across the health system, ensuring programs and activities run smoothly and consistently. The Experience Community Coordinator supports learning content and co-design initiatives while managing key administrative and operational tasks such as scheduling, ordering, logistics, and coordination. This role collaborates closely with partners across U of U Health to support learning and engagement materials from concept through completion. This position requires strong organizational and writing skills, professionalism, and the ability to manage concurrent priorities in service of our core work: translating lived experience into system-level design and strategic action. Requirements

  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above.
  • Ability to work independently, analyze, and make decision related to program content.
  • Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize deadlines.
  • Demonstrated human relations, and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to provide independent coordination and decision making for all activities of a specified program.
  • Proficiency in statistical and business software applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalency.
  • One year of directly related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe software applications.
  • Previous experience in community or group organizing

Responsibilities

  • Oversees daily program operations and coordinates program activities.
  • Develops and implements program goals and objectives.
  • Monitors program quality and effectiveness, and researches improvement methods.
  • Establishes program budget, monitors and approves related expenditures, and ensures budget goals are met.
  • Assists with fundraising activities.
  • Advises staff, students, and others, regarding program policies, goals and related technical issues.
  • Prepares reports, financial statements, as well as reports on program status, and progress for management, and outside agencies.
  • Writes and edits program related publications, and promotional or educational materials.
  • Oversees others who schedule meetings, seminars, and other program related functions.
  • Acts as a liaison between internal and external constituencies involved in program activities.
  • Works collaborative with the director and department staff in supporting departmental project needs.
  • May assign, direct, and review work of support staff.
