About The Position

At Pottstown Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, we provide high-quality dental services for patients of all ages, from pediatric visits to dental health overviews, Dental CT Scans, and teeth whitening. Patient experience is paramount, and we strive to make everyone feel calm and comfortable. Our dental team is dedicated to ensuring patients leave with a smile. We utilize modern technology, including CEREC® technology, cone beam imaging, and sedation, to offer accurate and efficient diagnosis and treatment. We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team, prioritizing quality patient care. EFDAs are crucial in assisting dentists with equipment setup, patient education, procedure execution, and documentation.

Requirements

At least one year of EFDA experience preferred
PA EFDA License required
Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Greet and prepare patients for treatment promptly, pleasantly, and professionally.
Sterilize and prepare instruments for tray setups before dental procedures.
Take diagnostic-digital imaging as prescribed by the dentists.
Practice within the legal scope of assistant duties with or without certification, depending on state regulations.
Maintain meticulous records on patient charts and documents.
Set up and break down rooms according to infection control protocols between patients.
Communicate patient and equipment needs with co-workers.
Adhere to OSHA guidelines, HIPAA Privacy Policy, and clinical operating procedures.
Other duties as assigned by Practice Leader and/or Dentist.
