About The Position

Foundation Dental is hiring an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to support dentists and provide compassionate care to patients. The role includes assisting with procedures, taking digital radiographs and intra-oral scans as prescribed, maintaining infection control, preparing treatment rooms, and educating patients about oral hygiene. The listed schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. The salary range is $30–$35 per hour.

Requirements

Prior dental assisting experience.
Active EFDA license in good standing.
Any certification or license required by the state to perform specified duties.
A resume showcasing a consistent and stable employment history.
Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to deliver exceptional patient experiences.

Responsibilities

Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable and confident throughout their visits.
Support the dentist with various procedures.
Take digital radiographs and intra-oral scans as prescribed.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment to maintain infection control.
Sanitize and prepare operatories for treatments.
Follow OSHA and safety policies.
Educate patients on effective oral hygiene strategies as needed.
Undertake office tasks as needed to support seamless practice operations.
