About The Position

Wyoming Smiles Center is seeking a skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join their dedicated team. The center is committed to providing exceptional dental care in a welcoming and comfortable environment. This role involves working Monday through Thursdays from 8 am to 5 pm and Fridays from 8 am to 1 pm. Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
CPR Certification.
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) and X-ray Certification (Required) in Ohio.

Proficiency in dental assistant terminology and procedures.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various treatment procedures.
Perform expanded functions including restorative procedures, coronal polishing, and sealant placement.
Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient visits.
Provide chairside assistance and support to the dental team.
Take and develop dental radiographs.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care.
