Extended Function Dental Assistant - EFDA
About The Position
At Valley Brook Dental, we are committed to providing advanced cosmetic and implant dentistry with a meticulous, patient-first approach. Located in McMurray, PA, our modern, single-doctor practice features 5 state-of-the-art operatories (3 dedicated to the doctor, 2 to hygiene). We are a fully digital office equipped with top-tier technology, including digital scanning for implants, crowns, and bridges, a dental milling machine, a SprintRay 3D printer, and a Cone Beam CT scanner. Requirements
- Valid Pennsylvania EFDA Certification is required.
- Current dental X-ray certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with digital workflows (scanning, 3D printing, or milling) is a plus, but we are highly enthusiastic about training a motivated candidate on our specific software and machinery.
- Strong attention to detail, a warm patient-side manner, and a desire to work closely within a tight-knit, tech-forward team.
Responsibilities
- Placing high-quality dental restorations.
- Performing digital intraoral scanning for crowns, bridges, and implant planning.
- Operating our in-office milling machine to fabricate restorations (we are fully willing to train the right candidate on this technology!)
- Providing efficient, proactive chairside assistance to the Doctor during various advanced procedures.
- Ensuring operatories are properly sterilized, stocked, and prepared for patient care.
