About The Position

The Smilist is seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join its growing dental practice in West Chester, Pennsylvania. The role supports doctors in providing efficient, high-quality dental care while helping patients feel comfortable and focused on their treatment. The assistant maintains a clean, sterile, and welcoming environment, prepares patients and procedure trays, and keeps operatories supplied. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Thursday, with no weekends.

Requirements

At least one year of experience as a Dental Assistant.
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification required.
Active Pennsylvania X-ray license required.
Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

Prior Dentrix experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while addressing their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor.
Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where patients feel comfortable.
Prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors in delivering efficient, quality dental treatment.
Escort patients to and from the front desk.
Prepare tray setups for dental procedures.
Maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing supplies as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
