About The Position
Join a supportive, patient-centered dental team where your skills truly matter. We’re seeking an enthusiastic professional to join our practice and contribute to an exceptional patient experience! This is a temporary position to cover maternity leave from September to December.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Expanded Functions Dental Assisting (EFDA) program
- Active EFDA certification and state-specific licensure
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience
- Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills
Nice To Haves
- Proficiency in dental software systems (Denticon)
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry
- Place and contour dental restorations under the supervision of a licensed dentist
- Fabricate and cement temporary crowns and bridges
- Take impressions and pour models for diagnostic and prosthetic purposes
- Apply sealants and fluoride treatments as permitted
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and maintain operatory cleanliness
- Take and develop dental radiographs
- Document patient records and update treatment notes in the practice management system
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, postoperative care, and treatment plans
- Follow all OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control guidelines
- Collaborate with the dental and front office teams to ensure exceptional patient care
