About The Position

Capozzi Dental is a well-established practice in the Etters area seeking a Full-Time Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join their team. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and making a meaningful impact in the lives of patients. EFDAs are highly valued, assisting with fillings, restorations, preventive and restorative treatments, ensuring smooth, efficient procedures and exceptional patient outcomes. This role is an integral part of a collaborative team committed to excellence in patient care.

Requirements

Active EFDA license for Pennsylvania or completion of a Dental Assisting Program (Or expected in the next 3 months)
CPR certification (in-house training available)
PA X-Ray License
Strong communication skills to foster team spirit and ease patient concerns
Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control procedures

Nice To Haves

Prior experience using dental software, including Open Dental

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for procedures and ensure comfort.
Take radiographs for diagnostics.
Set up and maintain treatment rooms.
Review and update patient dental records.
Assist with placing and contouring fillings.
Support in placing sealants and restorations.
Able to complete coronal polishing, fluoride applications, and oral hygiene education.
Sterilize equipment to maintain a safe work environment.
Provide post-procedure care instructions to patients.
