About The Position
Mortenson Family Dental is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) to provide patient care in a respectful, supportive, team-oriented dental practice. The role offers opportunities to develop skills and work with modern dental technology and techniques. The position is full-time, with 40 weekly hours, at the practice located at 2441 State St Ste 1, New Albany, IN 47150. Compensation is up to $25 per hour based on experience, with a $1,200 sign-on bonus. Benefits become available after 60 days of employment. Employment offers are contingent on successfully passing a background check, including a drug screen.
Requirements
- CPR and X-ray certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Successfully pass a background check, including a drug screen, as a condition of employment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the treatment room for patients.
- Sterilize and deliver instruments to the treatment area, position instruments for the dentist's access, suction, and pass instruments.
- Complete clinical notes before dismissing patients.
